How to store filaments

Humidity and UV light can decrease the filament quality and weaken its mechanical properties. We strongly recommend storing open filaments in a dry and dark place. You can find a complete guide on how to properly store your filament here

Where to throw print fails and supports?

We kindly ask our customers to cope with plastic waste responsibly. Failed prints, support material, rafts, or brims should be liquidated according to the local guidelines. Paradoxically, in most cases, it is better to throw this waste in the regular trash can, as most of the material waste created in 3D printing is not identified, which causes more problems than benefits in the waste sorting facilities.

RePLA Builder Pack (3x1kg) | Filament-PM

Introducing Filament-PM's unique product - RePLA!

This new entrant in Filament-PM's esteemed line of recycled filaments is a testament to their innovative technological prowess. RePLA has been created using a process similar to their proven PLA technology, guaranteeing the same exceptional printing attributes and first-rate quality as traditional PLA. Rest assured that each print will be sleek, accurate, and seamless. What sets RePLA apart is its recycled source material, shredded PLA filament, which allows it to contribute towards a more eco-friendly production process and waste reduction.

Filament-PM's unwavering dedication to quality and sustainability is evident in each meter of their RePLA filament. They hold the conviction that even such minute efforts can make a substantial impact.

One of the distinguishing characteristics of RePLA is that every project that employs this recycled material will have a distinct color identity, ensuring that no two spools of filament will be alike in color.

But the extraordinary attributes of RePLA do not stop at the printing process. Owing to its superior quality and sturdy structure, RePLA proves to be an excellent choice for post-processing. It allows the user to effortlessly remove support structures and carry out sanding, polishing, and painting, thereby enabling a flawless outcome that aligns perfectly with the user's vision.

RePLA represents more than just a material to Filament-PM. It encapsulates their vision for a sustainable future of 3D printing. With its unmatched mechanical properties, it is the ideal choice not only for professional creators but also for budding hobbyists in search of a dependable material.

General information about ECO :

In this category, we have regrouped all materials from our suppliers that do something more for the environment. We carefully select our suppliers not only by their product range, but we also seek to include in our portfolio materials that are respectful to the environment. We strongly support and participate in all meaningful ecological initiatives from our suppliers. We provide more information about our supplier's initiatives on our supplier pages which can be accessible by clicking on a brand name in the filters.

We consider an eco-friendly filament a filament that fulfills one of the following criteria:

  • Carbon foot-print compensation (for example, each sold spool of PolyTerra™ filament plants one tree)
  • Truly biodegradable material or material created from organic resources (not like PLA.. which is biodegradable mostly on paper)
  • Filaments manufactured from recycled materials like rPLA, rPETG, rPET, etc...

Other eco-friendly initiatives include:

  • Reusable spools systems
  • Paper spools

Filament-PM

Filament-PM is a Czech filament manufacturer with a wide and still growing range of materials, from everyday PLA and PETG to flame-retardant, ESD and fibre-reinforced engineering grades. It suits beginners and professionals alike. JustCreate3D keeps a large selection of Filament-PM in stock in its warehouse in Senec, Slovakia, and dispatches orders quickly.

Filament-PM was among the first producers of 3D printer filament, starting back in 2013. It is an official partner of PRUSA Manufacturing: the printed parts of the Prusa MK2 and MK3 printers were made from Filament-PM PETG. Today eight production lines run day and night. The company also watches its ecological footprint – its factory runs on renewable energy and it produces recycled filament from its own plastic waste.
